Through the typical little streets of La Chaume, it's a 15-minute walk to the port, where you'll find all the shops you need (covered market, bakeries, butchers, cinema, shopping centre and numerous restaurants).
From here, you can also take the 'sea bus' across the channel to the town centre of Les Sables d'Olonne.
