Presentation of: GITE DE LA GRAVEE
The gîte de la Gravée, an old house in the south Vendée, is located in Saint Michel le Cloucq, a very quiet little village a few kilometres from Fontenay le Comte. Rated 3 stars, it can comfortably accommodate 4 people.
On the ground floor, you'll find a living room with fireplace, a fully-equipped separate kitchen, a bedroom (160 cm bed) with private shower room, a linen room and a bathroom.
Upstairs, you'll find a bedroom (140 cm bed) and a mezzanine bedroom (2 120 cm beds) especially designed for children.
All the comforts you need for your holiday have been provided: washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fan-assisted oven, induction hob, 2 fridges, freezer, 2 flat-screen televisions with DTT reception, including 1 with satellite reception of free French and foreign channels, video recorder, 2 DVD players, hi-fi system.

There are 3 sets of garden furniture, so you can enjoy the outdoors depending on which way the sun is shining. Deckchairs available.
You'll be at the gateway to the Mervent-Vouvant forest, the largest forest in the Vendée and a great place for horse riding, walking, cycling and mountain biking, and close to the Marais Poitevin, which you can explore by boat, bike or mountain bike.
You can easily reach the forest on foot, by bike or mountain bike via the cycle path near the gite.
The southern Vendée is a region rich in history, as evidenced by the Romanesque churches, the abbeys of Nieul sur l'Autize and Maillezais, the towns of Fontenay le Comte and Luçon, and the small towns of character such as Vouvant and Foussais.
You'll spend your holidays in the Vendée, a maritime department par excellence. The Atlantic coast and its fine sandy beaches from the Pointe de l'Aiguillon sur Mer to La Tranche sur Mer, La Rochelle, Les Sables d'Olonne and the islands of Ré, Aix and Oléron are all within easy driving distance.
You'll also be able to visit famous sites such as Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, the aquariums in La Rochelle and Talmont and the town of Cognac.
