We've lovingly renovated it to make you feel right at home. It is accessible by an outside staircase (apologies in advance to our friends with reduced mobility). Open the door and you'll find a spacious living room of around 50 m2. After a good walk or mountain bike ride in the forest, or a canoe or paddle on the lake, you'll be able to spend some quality time together on the family sofa. A wood-burning stove is available for cooler evenings. There's also an open-plan kitchen with cooking facilities for large gatherings and a dishwasher to make chores easier.
3 bedrooms complete the accommodation. 2 have a double bed and one sleeps 4 (2 single beds and 1 bunk bed). The latter bedroom has a private bathroom with shower and washbasin.
There is also a bathroom with shower, bath and double basins, and a separate toilet.
We have chosen high-quality equipment (bedding, sofa, etc.) because we believe it is essential to welcome you in the best possible conditions, just as we ourselves like to be welcomed during our stays.
Outside, our shady, flower-filled garden is ideal for relaxing. Take advantage of the birdsong to relax in our spa or on the deckchairs. You can also enjoy a game of boules on our petanque court before enjoying a barbecue (gas barbecue and garden furniture available).
Ideally situated, our gîte is 45 minutes from La Rochelle and the Ile de Ré, 40 minutes from the magnificent Puy du Fou park and 30 minutes from the Marais Poitevin. Just 45 minutes from the ocean and its sandy beaches and 1h15 by motorway from Futuroscope. There's also a leisure centre for water-based activities, an electric or classic mountain bike hire company for the more adventurous (over 200 km of signposted trails through the forest), a snack bar close to the gîte, Mervent zoo for young and old and the Pierre Brune theme park. So, whether you want to relax and recharge your batteries, or push your sporting limits, or plan to explore our beautiful region and discover some of the places not to be missed, our gite is made for you. Deposit of €1,500 by bank transfer (not debited) on arrival. This deposit will be cancelled the next day after the equipment has been checked.
Beds made on arrival. This package includes a large shower towel and a glove per person, as well as tea towels for the kitchen and bath mats.
Prices :
Low season (from 15/11 to 15/12 then from 05/01 to 15/03): €1,295 per week / €185 per night. Weekend package €380.
From 16/03 to 14/07 then from 16/08 to 14/11: €1,400 per week / €200 per night / Weekend package €400.
High season: from 15/07 to 15/08 and from 16/12 to 04/01: €1,540 per week / €220 per night / Weekend package €440.
