Presentation of: Raku
Raku pottery, meaning "happy firing", is the result of glazing developed in 16th-century Japan. It is mainly used to make bowls for the tea ceremony. This technique can be used to make a number of decorative and everyday objects.
The santons are handmade from original moulds from Provence, fired once, then using a technique unique to my studio, they are enamelled and annealed.
Personalised, one-to-one courses are available on request.
Regular workshops on Tuesdays and Fridays.
