Born in Loire-Atlantique: After years in the hairdressing and beauty professions,
Roselyne MONTASSIER-CORMIER Ceramist Sculptor
I trained at the 'maison du potier' in Le FUILET (49) from 2007 to 2009, where I was introduced to various clay shaping and firing techniques.
I then set up my workshop in a small village - Rocheservière (85) 30 km south of Nantes.
Contrast is the key word in my astral and organic-inspired creations.
The clean, graphic shapes highlight the combination of raw clay and the softness of polished slip. The contrast of colours is also key to maintaining the natural look.
Artistic award in 2011: "La Main en or" (the Golden Hand) awarded by the Chambre des Métiers (85) when I took part for the first time in the "Art in the Arts" competition.
