Geocaching is a leisure activity that involves using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to search for or hide a container called a "cache" in various locations around the world.
This modern-day treasure hunt combines the pleasures of hiking with those of play and discovery. Geocaching is a rewarding, fun and friendly outdoor activity that can be enjoyed with family or friends.

A "cache" consists of a watertight, hard-wearing container containing a logbook of visits and one or more "treasures", usually knick-knacks or other valueless objects.

There are traditional caches (where the geocacher is directly in possession of the GPS coordinates of the treasure) and multi-caches (where the geocacher has to solve several riddles before obtaining the GPS coordinates of the treasure).

The rules of the game are simple!
Download a geocaching application onto your mobile phone
Enter the coordinates of one of the caches and set off in search of it, guided by your GPS.
