Presentation of: CHEMIN DES CHATAIGNES - DEPART DE SAINT-MAURICE-DES-NOUES
The Chemin des Châtaignes (Chestnut Trail) covers almost 80 kilometres of fully signposted walking and mountain biking trails through the bocage of the Vendée.
Along the way, you'll pass through Mouilleron-Saint-Germain, the birthplace of two great men: Georges Clemenceau and Marshal De Lattre de Tassigny. You'll be able to admire the natural sites: Colline des Moulins, old quarries, rivers and mills...
And what could be more astonishing than travelling through the solar system on board a brand new planetarium set up in the small town of La Chapelle-aux-Lys?
So get your boots on (or your mountain bike) and set off to explore our beautiful Vendée bocage!
The Tourist Office has put together an idea for a walking holiday. These 3 or 4-day walks are a great way to get away from it all, all year round, with no organisational stress. There's plenty of accommodation along the way, including bed and breakfasts, campsites and gîtes.
