Presentation of: Circuit des Arcades

Need a break from everyday life?
The "rigole et ses arcades" walk is a beautiful 15km walk around the feeder channel of the Nantes-Brest canal at Joué-sur-Erdre.

Grab some good shoes and set off along the shady paths along the banks. On your way, open your eyes wide and discover some of the wonders of nature and heritage. A moment of calm in a green and bucolic setting!
Stop to take some pretty pictures, get a bit of height as you cross the arcades, or sit on the banks of the Erdre and listen to the sound of the water!

The Arcades trail is unusual and surprising for its changing landscapes.
The best part? You can discover only part of the circuit by parking your car at Gué de la Roche or at the dam.
But for the more experienced, you can discover new landscapes by combining the Nort-sur-Erdre Arcades loop (7 km).

You'll want to :
- follow the route of the feed channel
- cross the arcades and get a bird's eye view of the rolling countryside
- listen to the noise on the banks of the Erdre

Special precautions: don't suffer from vertigo (crossing the arcades)
