This is a family trail with a flat profile, mainly on forest paths, which is perfect for occasional walkers.
Starts from the Parcours du Cœur car park, just before the racecourse.
When you reach the Boudré forest, leave the car behind and take a breath! Time seems to stand still: cut off from noise and civilisation, the scent of pine trees tickles your nostrils and all you can hear is birdsong. The woods and moorland invite you to take a stroll and relax.
The forêt de Boudré is a forest of mainly pine trees covering more than 200 hectares in the Boucle du Loir. This vast natural area is a real place of peace and quiet, ideal for walks and for observing exceptional flora and fauna.
As you walk along the Boucle du Loir, take time to stop at the ferry that takes you across the Loir to Montreuil-sur-Loir. On the way, admire the view of the hillside, the Château de Montreuil and the mill.
To preserve and enhance this exceptional natural site, the Association de Sauvegarde des Espaces Ruraux has decided to create an interpretation trail on the Boucle du Loir at Seiches-sur-le-Loir. The trail is a practical educational tool designed to help visitors discover the natural heritage of the Boucle du Loir site. The Boucle du Loir, rich in history and tradition, is recognised as a protected site for its wealth of biodiversity, and deserves to be showcased while we learn to respect it. A great way to discover nature. The aim of this walking trail is to provide information and keys to understanding the natural heritage that surrounds us, so that everyone can play their part in protecting this rich and fragile environment. To make the walk fun and educational, panels and observation aids have been set out according to the characteristic themes of the site: the wood, the pond, the river, the meadows and livestock farming. Lying back on a wooden deckchair, you can observe and listen to what's going on around you. Further on, through the small windows, you can watch the migratory birds that have come to rest for a while in the former quarries, now covered in water.
