La brasserie des islattes

A computer scientist by profession, Bernard Jarverliat describes himself as a beer brewer for pleasure. He has been brewing beer for 5 years, and in 2015 he and a wine merchant friend decided to create a beer made in Jard sur Mer. The concept caught on, first with a trial run of 400 beers, which sold out very quickly. Then in 2016, Jardaise beer was born and 4,500 bottles were sold!

In 2018, production grew to 10,000 bottles.

Since then, the beer has been sold exclusively in local shops, bars and restaurants in Jard, Saint-Vincent and Les Sables d'Olonne. The shopkeepers have given it a warm welcome!

There are now 9 different beers on offer from the brewery, which does not sell on the premises, and 9 establishments sell "La Jardaise".
