Presentation of: LA FERME DU GRAND BOIS
The Ferme du Grand Bois is a family farm located in Martinet, in the centre-west of the Vendée (20 km from the Atlantic coast), in a wooded area criss-crossed by numerous footpaths and sunken lanes typical of the Vendée countryside.
The farm, which is fully certified organic, covers around a hundred hectares and raises some 30 Maraîchine cows (a local breed that is being protected), around thirty pigs, and many other animals representative of our living Vendée heritage (Vendée ewes, Baudet du Poitou, Poitevin draught horses, Marans chickens, Poitevin goats, etc.).
Since 2008, Stéphanie and Olivier Prouteau have been working to establish a coherent farming model that combines their passion for livestock farming with the preservation of their natural environment.
