Presentation of: Amir Zand
Iranian artist Amir Zand will be the guest of honour at the La Roche-sur-Yon International Film Festival.
An exhibition will be devoted to him for the first time in France. Illustrator of numerous covers, he has worked for licences such as Star Wars, Warhammer 40k, DUNE, Halo and Mortal Engines.
From 14 to 20 October, he will be showing works based on three films that have made a lasting impression on him: Her by Spike Jonze, Blade Runner by Ridley Scott and Akira by Katsuhiro Ōtomo.
His name is included in the list of the world's 100 most esteemed illustrators, drawn up in 2020 by the Association of Illustrators of Japan.
The vernissage will take place on Tuesday 15 October at 6.30pm in the presence of Amir Zand.
Free admission.
Tuesday 15 to Sunday 20 October, 10am to 7pm, then until 9 November, Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm to 6pm.
