F as in FERREOL and FAUSSIER: July's exhibition in the Romanesque church brings together two artists who share the same initials and a common favourite theme: women.
After a busy professional life, Marie-Luce FERREOL decided to devote herself entirely to painting at the age of 70. This artistic activity became her reason for living, and she has been exhibiting regularly for thirty years.
She enjoys painting large-scale works, in which we find memories of her travels, but above all portraits of women, treated with a generous, sweeping gesture. She expresses her passion for her models with a broad palette of colours, often dominated by blues.
Pierre FAUSSIER is a complete artist, practising painting, screen printing, ceramics and engraving. Here he presents his sculptures in which the "mysterious, enigmatic, improbable" woman is largely represented.
