Now a quartet, Drahla have played dozens of gigs, opening for METZ, Parquet Courts, Ought and the likes of Buzzcoks. Buoyed by the success of Third Article, a brilliant debut EP that's minimal enough to give you a taste of the hypnosis of bass lines riddled with razor-sharp riffs, Drahla are reminiscent of the jubilant, dissonant moments of the great Cure and Sonic Youth. The message is committed, minimal and heady, the melody rides the chaos, the punk is modern and flayed, nourished on every track by a three-star heritage.
