Who would have thought 20 years ago that a tuba player would be able to take to the stage like a rock singer and manage the feat of getting over 2,000 people to sing and dance along? OUTSIDER is the POP project of Thomas Leleu, winner of a Victoire de la Musique award in 2012. Surrounded by 5 brilliant musicians, he offers a unique project entirely dedicated to rhythm in all its forms. Travelling the world (in over 40 countries), Thomas decided to follow his destiny and compose his own music, tinged with pop, funk, electro, samba, salsa, etc. From Tokyo to Berlin, via New York, Rio, Singapore and Beijing, Thomas Leleu could have been content with a prestigious career as a classical soloist if he hadn't always been driven by an insatiable curiosity for all kinds of music. Equally at home as a classical soloist in front of a symphony orchestra, at a jazz festival or on the stage of a giant arena playing pop music, this "absolute genius of the tuba" (La Nouvelle République), a musical free electron, proves that it is possible to flourish in different musical fields. This musician-explorer who sets no limits for himself offers a fusion of genres, a celebration of musical diversity. He pays tribute to all the music that has inspired him and made him, a child of the classical milieu with a passion for pop and Latin rhythms: an OUTSIDER.
