EXPOSITION DES COULEURS POUR MAYOTTE

Marcel Séjour, a painter from Angers, discovered drawing and painting at the age of 30. He decided that this was all he would ever do.
He headed for Mayotte in 1993, where he drew inspiration from everyday life to paint much of his work.
Marcel returned to France a few weeks before the disaster that hit Mayotte so hard in December 2024. Luckily, he had brought with him all his works for an exhibition he wanted to organise.
Sales exhibitions, initially in the north-west of Vendée, and then elsewhere in France over the course of the year, are planned, with part of the proceeds going to Mayotte.

To help Mayotte and showcase the life of the Mahorais people before the cyclone, through his paintings, he called on his friend and patron André BARRETEAU and the OPCI-EthnoDoc association.
Together they set up the "Des couleurs pour Mayotte, Tableaux de Marcel Séjour, Peintre magnégné" project.
