Presentation of: EXPOSITION PHOTOS DE MARIE-NOELLE CARON
Marie-Noëlle Caron is a local artist with a dual talent, combining painting and photography. The Médiathèque has chosen to honour one of these techniques by exhibiting photographs by Marie-Noëlle Caron throughout April.
Users are invited to the exhibition launch on Friday 18 April at 6.30pm, in the presence of the artist.
On the subject of photography, Marie-Noëlle explains:
"My taste for photography was passed on to me from childhood by my father. He gave me technical guidance, but above all he helped me to observe the world around me and to discover the landscapes and nature of our region. He made me aware of the beauty of the nature that surrounds us, and above all taught me to look at it and respect it.
After a period devoted mainly to painting, I returned to my first passion: photography.
For a long time, I worked on landscapes and portraits, but for some time now I've been discovering macro photography, which fascinates me because of everything it reveals around us, the tiny life we pass by without suspecting it, its fragility and its beauty. I'm impressed by the beauty of nature and flowers, by their colours, their shapes, their apparent fragility, which provoke an emotion that I'm happy to share.
When it comes to painting, Marie-Noëlle explains:
"I'm attached to the richness of the landscape (figurative or abstract, depending on the painting): from the macrocosm to the microcosm; landscapes as a starting point for arriving at a form of abstraction, to invite everyone to share their gaze in order to capture the energy that links the sky to the earth, the sky to water, the sky to man... so that everyone can dream this landscape, lose themselves in the lines, hollows and reliefs of matter, and make their way to a balance in serene harmony."
