Presentation of: Exposition temporaire "L'Homme et la Mer a la Prehistoire"
Le Cairn invites you on a journey through the millennia with its exhibition.
As far back as the 9th millennium BC, prehistoric man took to the sea to explore, trade and survive.
Thanks to archaeological research and modern experiments, this exhibition sheds light on the maritime resources used by our ancestors.
The archaeological remains on display, including tools, ceramics and ornaments, illustrate the deep connection that early populations had with the ocean.
For younger visitors, a fun trail will allow them to slip into the shoes of the first prehistoric navigators.
On the programme throughout the afternoon:
Film-debate with the Koruc association on prehistoric navigation (booking recommended).
Discovery of "Ondulantes" by Myriam ROUX, an artistic approach to the movement of water.
Fire demonstration.
