"The sound of New Orleans
Throughout its history, New Orleans has been the place where sounds and cultures from all over the world have converged and blended, always with a joie de vivre.
This band draws on the immense repertoire of traditional jazz, from Jelly Roll Morton to Bix Beiderbecke and Louis Armstrong, via the Creole colours of Sidney Bechet. Fingers snap, feet tap and an irresistible urge to move takes over. A wonderful stroll in the spirit of the Roaring Twenties.
Whether on the road or in a station, this Nantes-based band delivers a jovial, convivial sound.
The Dab'Dixie will bring you the swing of the 20s.
Alain Pierre: sax
Max Brébion: banjo
Xavier Aubret: bassophone
Etienne Poinsot: trumpet
Bertrand Dabo: washboard, vocals and scat
