Presentation of: Helene Piris + Lucien Cheenne
If there are journeys that shape youth, there are also those that open up new horizons. Coming full circle at the Tadoussac Festival, where Lucien Chéenne was invited to take part in the "chemins d'écriture", proved to be the final straw. It was an emotional, human and artistic shock. He threw out the twist-surf rock of the 50s in favour of a resolutely folk song, absolutely francophone, somewhere between Audiard's France and Johnny Cash's America.
Hélène Piris dips her pen in the ink of finesse and poetry, with lyrics that are sparkling, quirky and a touch spicy, carried high by her singular vocal agility. Her first album showed her to be wise and gentle, charming too. But that was before. Before she decided to put her caustic humour to good use in incisive songs where everyone gets a piece of the action: injustice, precariousness, patriarchy...
The shows are open to all, and are generally double sets followed by a convivial buffet bringing together the audience and the artists. Tickets must be booked by telephone or email with the host (see programme) and should be booked well in advance, given the small capacity of the venues.

Hosting by associations :
The entrance fee is set by the association hosting the Chant'Appart, and may not exceed that set by Chants-Sons. The booking cheque should be made out to the organisation hosting the Chant'Appart.
