Journees Europeennes du Patrimoine - Visite guidee du Centre Hospitalier Georges-Mazurelle

The Grimaudière asylum has been located on its current site since 1853. The hospital is the leading public psychiatric and mental health establishment in the Vendée. Visitors can explore the grounds and green spaces to discover the architectural development of the establishment, which is closely linked to the development of care and the different types of care provided, from the very young to the elderly.

Free admission on Saturday and Sunday

Sunday :
- 2.30pm: Guided tour Sunday at 2.30pm: History and development of the site and gardens, changes in care practices, etc.
- 5.00pm: Concert of sacred music by the Roland de Lassus choir
and the Galatée Instrumental Ensemble (works by Buxtehude,
Fransico Durante, Arvo Pärt...), hospital chapel
