Presentation of: L'ART AU BOUT DES DOIGTS
The Vendéthèque in La Châtaigneraie is hosting a tactile exhibition entitled "Art at your fingertips".
Organised in partnership with the Bibliothèque Départementale de Vendée, this exhibition offers a unique look at classic works of painting and sculpture, with reproductions of 5 sculptures and 12 paintings that can be seen and touched.
The exhibition is designed for both sighted and visually impaired visitors. The paintings have been adapted in relief, and the titles of the works are accessible in Braille. Each work is accompanied by explanatory sheets to help visitors find out more about the artist and the reproduction technique used.
The exhibition is punctuated by a number of highlights, including
- A creative workshop using recycled materials on Saturday 28 September at 3pm,
- An afternoon of board games for all on Wednesday 09 October at 3pm,
- A musical reading with author Valentine Goby and musician Xavier Llamas on Friday 25 October at 8.30pm,
- Story time with a kamishibai on Wednesday 16 October at 4pm.
Free admission.
Open at the following times
- Tuesdays and Fridays, 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm
- Wednesday from 13:30 to 18:00
- Saturday from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 18.00
