Presentation of: Jardin du Prieure Saint Pierre - Journees Europeennes du Patrimoine
Free visit of the garden. From 9am to 6pm.
This garden was redesigned around 1750 by the canons of Saint Augustin. Since then, it has retained its original structure: successive terraces and rows of topiary Taxus Baccata trees (some of which must be over 300 years old). In the centre of the terraces, a monastic garden has been recreated in the former affiage. To the south, a gateway leads to meadows, ponds and the countryside. To the east, a wood leads down to the river (the Grand Lay). It's an invitation to take a bucolic stroll.
Saturday at 8pm - theatrical performance of "RUY BLAS... almost! "after Victor Hugo
Sunday at 3pm - play "La Gloire de mon Père" by Marcel Pagnol
