Etang de peche de la Fontaine

The Etang de la Fontaine is owned by the commune of Saint-Michel-en-l'Herm. It is managed by Sébastien PALIER - Cap pêche et nature.

You will find : Roach, rotengles, carp, tench, trout, pike ...

The pond is open to fishing from 1 Monday in March to 30 November. Fishing is permitted from sunrise to sunset, except during the months of June, July and August when it is only permitted until 9pm.

Daily, weekly, monthly and annual fishing passes can be collected from the Tabac-Presse LEBLOND or the Carrefour Express in Saint Michel en l'herm, from the Riv'à Pêche fishing shop in Luçon and from the Sud Vendée Littoral tourist offices (St-Michel-en-l'herm, l'Aiguillon sur mer, La faute sur mer, Luçon and Mareuil/Lay).
You can buy your card online at www.cap-peche-et-nature.fr. A paper printout will be required for presentation during an inspection. It can also be presented in digital form (PDF) on your smartphone.

Fish releases and competitions are organised on a regular basis.

The following are permitted: 2 rods with 1 hook per angler. 30 roach, 1 carp or tench, 4 trout, 5 eels, 1 pike-perch or pike-perch.

All other fishing systems are prohibited.

CAP PECHE ET NATURE FISHING SCHOOL
This school is for children aged 8 to 12.
Two cycles of 3 sessions will enable children to learn line fishing and fishing with a reel (carp fishing).
The 3-hour sessions (from 2pm to 5pm) on Saturdays will give children the chance to practise these two fishing techniques on the Etang de la Fontaine, learning about the equipment, baits, accessories and other tricks to make them self-sufficient at the water's edge.

Prices: €70 for my 6 sessions. Yearly "Étang de la Fontaine" fishing pass offered to children.
