Presentation of: Abbaye de la Coudre

Installed in the south of the city since 1859, the 45 Cistercian-Trappistine nuns of La Coudre welcome in their abbey more and more guests and in search of spiritual research.

The sisters also welcome anyone wishing to attend the services celebrated in the abbey. In their store, you will be able to buy the products coming from the Sewing or from other monastic communities: the cheese of Trappe refined in the cellars of the Abbey, the entremets prepared by the sisters, chocolates, cakes, jams, confectioneries, delicatessens, religious articles ... The sisters also welcome anyone wishing to attend the services celebrated in the abbey. In the Monastic Gallery, which opens on a vast store, an exhibition reveals the origins, spirituality, history and the face of the sisters' community. In their store, you will be able to buy the products coming from the Sewing or from other monastic communities: the cheese of Trappe refined in the cellars of the Abbey, the entremets prepared by the sisters, chocolates, cakes, jams, confectioneries, delicatessens, religious articles, ... A bookstore area broadens its horizons, and offers a wide range of book choices for adults and children.

Abbaye Royale

SAINT-MICHEL-EN-L'HERM

The abbey was founded in 682 AD on a limestone islet. Following the Concordat of 1516, it became a royal abbey.
