CONCERT - CEDRIC BURNSIDE + MUDDY GURDY

Grammy winner and renowned blues artist Cedric Burnside recorded his latest album, 'Hill Country Love', in an old law office in Tippah County, a town of 5,000 people and the birthplace of the Hill Country Blues style. The original intention was to use the building as a juke joint, built entirely of wood and contributing to the unique sound of the album.

Burnside collaborated with producer Luther Dickinson, and completed all 14 songs in two days. The album reflects Burnside's personal growth, directly addressing his emotions and experiences, including the impact of his Grammy win.

Despite a diverse career, Burnside remains rooted in the blues style passed down from his grandfather, R.L. Burnside. The album incorporates elements of rock, R&B and hip-hop, displaying a range of emotions. Burnside sees himself as heir to the blues tradition, blending modernity with the old sound he loves. "Hill Country Love" is a synthesis of Burnside's career, emphasising honesty and integrity in his uncompromising musical expression.


Muddy Gurdy (Tia Gouttebel vocals, guitar, compositions-Gilles Chabenat hurdy-gurdy-Fabrice Bony percussion), a unique visionary trio who set off on an adventure between two lands, Mississippi and Auvergne, and who invented their own music, roots and psyche, generous and telluric, are about to release their 3rd album "Seven" (Buda Musique) recorded in Louisiana.
