Remarkably well-preserved, it is the only survivor of the forty water-powered mills along the Yon. In the early 20th century, the installation of mechanical grinders and a planchister enabled the mill to increase its productivity. It later became a flour mill, which remained in operation until 1981.
There is also a picnic area and a number of hiking trailheads.
