Presentation of: Duo de guitares - Alexandre Mollier et Mickael Noel
Friendship and a shared vision of music have naturally led guitarists Alexandre Mollier and Mickaël Noël to play together for several years now.
Navigating between works originally written for two guitars and transcriptions, the duo of Alexandre Mollier and Mickaël Noël see their programme as an invitation to travel. From the Italian baroque repertoire (Scarlatti) to contemporary French music (Piris), via Spain (Albeniz, Sor) or Cuba (Brouwer), the two musicians present worlds where the guitars are sometimes festive and colourful, sometimes intimate and meditative. The guitar duo has the power of alchemy, especially if you believe, like Frédéric Chopin, that "nothing is more beautiful than a guitar, except perhaps two".
Trained respectively at the École normale de musique de Paris and the CNSM de Paris, Alexandre Mollier and Mickaël Noël are highly committed to passing on their discipline. Alexandre Mollier teaches at the CRD in La Roche-sur-Yon and Mickaël Noël at the CRD in Valence Romans Agglo. They have also been running a summer course at Boulc (Drôme) for nearly ten years.
Wishing to create a link between their activities as teachers and musicians, they are keen to play regularly in their own regions.
