Mélodie MICHEL was unanimously accepted into the organ class of Olivier Latry and Thomas Ospital at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris at the age of 16 in 2020, after having been trained by Jean-Baptiste Robin at the Conservatoire de Versailles, where she also studied piano, violin, viola and music composition.
She has already performed in concert on the great organs of the church of Saint-Sulpice, the basilica of Sainte-Clotilde, and the church of Saint-Eustache in Paris, the abbey church of La Chaise-Dieu, the royal chapel of the Château de Versailles, the abbey of Royaumont, the cathedral of Nîmes... In 2020, Mélodie Michel co-inaugurated the organ of the Zaryadye Hall in Moscow during a 24-hour marathon, bringing together 24 internationally renowned organists, and in 2023 took part in the complete Bach organ works at the Philharmonie de Paris. She gives regular concerts in Germany, notably in Weimar, Stuttgart, Bayreuth, Mannheim, Düsseldorf and Tübingen.
Mélodie Michel won First Prize in the André Marchal Competition in 2021. She is also a laureate of the 24th Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival Hartford Competition in the USA, and in 2024 she won the Artistic Development Prize at the Canadian International Organ Competition.
