N45 : La boucle de la Redonne

The Redonne loop, between La Chapelle Huon and Saint Gervais de Vic

Address :
72310 LA CHAPELLE-HUON
FRANCE

Presentation of: N45 : La boucle de la Redonne

La Chapelle-Huon developed gradually from the Middle Ages onwards (1st mention of the parish in 1233) close to the church and the seigneury of Bois-Neuf, whose seat in the village has completely disappeared. St-André church is a beautiful Romanesque building (11th-12th century) with a Renaissance seigniorial chapel. The current bell tower was added in 2000 as part of the general restoration of the building, and contemporary stained glass windows were added to enhance the decor. Nearby, you will notice the former presbytery, an imposing building with a high roof and mitre chimney on the eaves wall.

Admire the 15th- and 16th-century Béchuère manor house, the Redonne stream and the beautiful hedged farmland.
