CHATEAU DE BEAUFORT EN VALLEE

Built on a calcareous mound used by the Roman from Ier century AD, the first defensive castle, BELLUS FORTIS, date of the XIth century. Reconstructed in the XIIIth and XIVth century, it was the frequent stay of King René d' Anjou and Jeanne de Laval his second wife.
