Ferns, which are very common in this region, have given their name to the commune. The main access is via a network of footpaths starting from the Lande Bonnaud picnic area.
A number of manor houses and private châteaux are also worth a visit on this walk, including the 15th-century logis de la Batardraie, the 19th-century château de Pierre Brune and the remains of the 12th-century Prieuré des Cerisiers, as well as the château de l'Étang Neuf with its park and deer.
Play area and picnic table on site.
