RIVIERE LA VENDEE

It rises at St Paul en Gâtines in the Deux-Sèvres department and flows into the Sèvre Niortaise 70 kilometres further on, at L'Ile d'Elle.

In the meantime, it has gracefully enlivened our verdant hedged farmlands, illuminated the deep valleys of the Mervent-Vouvant forest, given the beautiful mansions of Fontenay-le-Comte their finest mirrors and made the landscapes of the Plains and Marshes look like paradise.
