Presentation of: CHEVALEMENT DU PUITS DE LA TRANCHEE
Built in 1874, the headframe of the shaft of the trench is 32 meters high. Astride above the mine, the well of the trench down to 178.5 m underground. A pulley system allowed to trace coal bags to the surface so that they are transported, by railway, to the lime kiln. Originally, the entire site of the trench consisted of a port, seven kilns contained in the same massive trapezoidal, a mine and a career related to the ovens by a railway track.
