Presentation of: Dolmen de la Barbiere
Built on a rocky spur, dominating the surrouding countryside and marshes, the Barbière's dolmen is a partly ruined 10 meters long covered alley.
Dating back from the Neolithic period (5000 - 3000 B.C), this monument kept one of its enormous covering stones, allowing the visitor to understand the original structure of this prehistorical tumb.
Later christianized, one of the stones had been carved in the shape of a cross, and settled on a stone pedestal just nearby.
A beautifull site to discover, including on a treck.
