Presentation of: Maison Gueffier

Located in the heart of La Roche-sur-Yon, the Maison Gueffier is a key venue dedicated to literature and literary creation. It is the birthplace of the Grand R literature project, a unique programme in the network of 78 Scènes nationales in France. From an original idea, born in embryo, this structure has grown to become a real reference point in the literary world, bringing together publishers, authors and book professionals.

The Maison Gueffier comprises a number of spaces dedicated to creation, meetings and reflection on literature. On the first floor, a writers' workshop gives many writers and enthusiasts the opportunity to work in an inspiring setting. The reception room, overlooking the small Latitudes garden, offers a relaxing space for informal exchanges and reflection.

Another lounge in the Maison Gueffier hosts literary meetings and moderations, where enriching discussions take place around authors' works and projects. The Maison Gueffier has become a veritable crossroads for the literary scene, a place where ideas intersect and are nurtured.

The Maison Gueffier also has a studette specially fitted out to accommodate authors in residence, a place where creators can recharge their batteries and work in complete tranquillity, before meeting their public as part of various writing residencies and events.

In addition to its spaces dedicated to literature, the Maison Gueffier houses some of the offices of the Grand R team, playing an active part in the dynamism and enrichment of this ambitious project in the service of culture and books.

Come and discover the Maison Gueffier, a vibrant place of creativity and literary exchange, where literature is at the heart of every initiative.
