Built in the middle of the 18th Century on the ruins of a château from the Middle Ages.
It was built, all in wood, in Croix de Vie at the Didier Thomazeau shipyard, for the fisherman Israël Chevrier.
10 acres wet dock closed by locks which can take vessels up to 110m long.
Built in the 18th century, the small jetty protects the harbour from silting up.
7.40-meter square tower, built in 1874, aligned with La Potence lighthouse.
