DOMFRONT-EN-CHAMPAGNE

In 1873, the union of property owners of Gourmalon decided to have the chapel built in spite of the clergy's opposition.
The body of Saint Anne, mother of the Virgin Mary, was transported to Provence by the first apostles.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the parish had a smaller church located not far from where the present church stands.
This building comprises a nave divided by a transept and a square choir. The semi-cylindrical apse dates from the 1770s.
On 8 December 1885, the foundation stone of the current church was laid.
