The origins of the chapel date back to the date late 14th century.
Founded in 1130 by Benedictine monks, the fortified abbey was attacked during the Hundred Years' War (1372) and burnt down 3 times
Historical traces show that a place of worship was already present in the Middle Ages, on the site of the current building.
Built in 1211 in Romanesque style, it was almost completely rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1867.
