Eglise Saint-Beat
ROUESSE-VASSE
In the heart of a Petite Cité de Caractère, an architectural jewel of exceptional quality, enhanced by a unique restoration, opens
This Latin cross church has a flat apse. The single nave, built from 1647 onwards, has a barrel vault with panelling.
The stelae from the Iron Age (-750 / -50) are monuments carved out of granite and decorated with spirals.
Remarkable for its twisted belltower and Anjou “Plantagenet” architecture, the church has retained a profound unity.
