Les Salines - Parc d'aventure du sel

Right in the heart of the salt works, on 10 hectares of salt marshes, the Salt Adventure Park is a heritage site preserved in the village of Aubraie, where the salt works of yesterday and today come to life.

In the bleachers, when you meet the Saunier, you'll discover an ancestral and little-known trade, with authentic explanations and demonstrations. Children will be able to harvest their own salt, a magical and memorable moment for apprentice Sauniers!

Next, explore the Park's paths to discover the history of salt. From Gallic huts to guard huts, via the Romans and the cod ship leaving the port of Les Sables for Terre Neuve, you'll travel back in time and discover some surprising anecdotes! Then extend your visit to the plant hut or the bird observatory, where the flora and fauna of the Marais will hold no more secrets for you.

Educational games and puzzles for children all along the route. An educational curiosity for all. The must-see Vendée tour.

Length of visit 2 to 3 hours.

Opening times and dates:
From 6/04 to 30/06 and from 1/09 to 31/10/2025: open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6.30pm and on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 6.30pm. Closed all day on Saturdays and on Sunday mornings. Opening times may change during bank holidays: please contact us.
From 01/07 to 31/08/2025: open 7 days a week from 9.30am to 7pm.
Visits and the shop will be closed from 4 to 18 October 2025 inclusive.
From 01/11/2025 to 31/03/2026: park closed, shop only, open Monday to Friday from 2pm to 5pm.
