Montjean-sur-Loire, tourist city of the Maine-et-Loire department is known for its famous harbor mariner who once was the scene of intense economic activity. So naturally, the municipality wanted to develop and share its historical and cultural heritage by creating the Loire Cap Discovery Park. Between park and museum, visit Cap Loire is a site that allows a true immersion in the ligérienne culture. The permanent exhibition allows you to discover the evolution of the boats. Then the visit of barge Cape Verde presents the life of sailors and their families. In addition, 11,000 m² of themed gardens provide places for strolls and discovery! The site visit is a journey that will take ages to the discovery and exploration of the history, technology and life aboard the Loire boats. Groups welcome all year round by reservation.
